Five nights hosted by iconic music stars including Gary Numan, The Human League and The Orb, plus a daytime planetarium, twisted tea parties and more to be announced.
The next dimension in multimedia social entertainment and an inspiring new experience is not 3D but rather 5D. The 5DX Dome™ is coming to Kensington Palace for five days from 7 - 11 April 2010. Taking the ‘pop-up’ phenomenon to an extraordinary level of sophistication and technological innovation, the 5DX Dome™ is an overwhelming multi-sensory venue which fuses 3D surround-sound, bespoke 360° visuals, intimate music performances, and fine dining, to encapsulate the Silver Odyssey experience; enhancing all five senses to stimulate natural euphoria. The dome will also launch a programme of special events, from star-gazing to ‘twisted’ tea parties.
Having completed its debut stint in Miami, the 5DX Dome™ will teleport to the grounds of London’s Kensington Palace, presenting an amazing audio-visual space-age arena surrounded by a series of ‘mini-dome’ VIP bars and lounges. The dome allows you to step into the brains of the world’s most futuristic musical artists, whose influence on music - both culturally and aesthetically is unrivalled. They will perform live to a personalised filmic backdrop that will transform the environment into a visual embodiment of the star themselves - the 5 Dimensional experience starts when you arrive.
Featuring a programme of astonishing luxury and decadence, each Silver Odyssey evening encompasses a sumptuous five-course taster dinner and menu direction courtesy from East London’s tastemakers Bistrotheque, followed by live performances from internationally acclaimed artists and DJs, specifically curated to be in perfect symbiosis. The exclusive events create an intimate, immersive environment that provides guests with an utterly unique opportunity to witness the legendary musicians lay bare their visual inspirations, giving an insight into the world through their eyes as well as being treated to a live performance of extreme rarity, not to mention cocktails and dinner - all of epic proportions.
A colossal line-up of internationally renowned headline artists are confirmed to host, and will take to the stage for one night only, with the Silver Odyssey dome debut and world-wide exclusive coming from iconoclastic singer, actress and style icon- Miss Grace Jones. The evening will give guests a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dine in close proximity to the star who will perform against a backdrop of virtual storms, stars and planets — the ultimate luxury for Jones fans. The official ambassador of the 5DX Dome™, Grace will host an unforgettable evening with 3D content created exclusively for the dome launch event.
Grace Jones’ live performance will be followed by four more nights of stellar performances by acclaimed international artists with a futurist vision, including Gary Numan, The Human League, The Orb and one further high profile act to be announced soon. Offering a host of other events and opportunities for audiences to visit, by day, the 5DX Dome™ takes the form of a traditional British tea party with a futuristic twist!
The 5DX Dome™ also pulls back the velvet rope and opens its doors to the local community for a series of science and space education. For two days the dome is transformed into an open Planetarium with leading astrophysicists and science experts set to demonstrate the impact of viewing space in 3D, truly challenging the way that we ‘see’ space.

From outer space to internal organs, explore the internal world of atoms and DNA to discover what we are made from with a series of lectures that explore the inner journey. Neuron physicists & scientists, doctors and healers gather to provide perspectives based on both science and spirit.
