New York born, producer, multi-instrumentalist and the Kerouac of new Hip Hop, Thunderbird Gerard announces an exciting new video for the track 'Thunderbird'. It features dancers from the hit Broadway musical 'Fela' and premiered on FACT Magazine: “Gerard’s clearly got that same soft snarl – the “I could kill you, but I’d rather seduce your girl” – that’s worked so well for Pharrell and Kano in the past, and we’re all for it.”
Gerard will release the single this Autumn, the first from upcoming album ‘Year 1’, an emotional and intelligent tale of the journey from Smalltown USA via Slumtown London to current Hometown Berlin.

Currently booking dates around Europe for a tour later this year, collaborating with other musicians and working on a mixtape, there is a lot more to expect from Thunderbird Gerard.

‘Thunderbird’ director, CC Steinmetz
CC Steinmetz is a Czech-German director and producer. Since 2007, she has worked on international productions in the US, UK and Germany. In 2009 she moved to Berlin, working with award winning documentary filmmaker Lutz Hachmeister at HMR Produktion. Her directorial debut - music video ‘Leave It All Behind’ also for Thunderbird Gerard, premiered online for Vice Magazine, Juice Magazine and Tape.TV. ‘Echo & Nazriss’, which CC wrote, directed and produced, is her first short film.
