#ILMLONDON

On Saturday 25th November, Independent Label Market host their final market of the year, the Winter event at Old Spitalfields Market in London, in partnership with AIM – the Association of Independent Music.

Label favourites will be out in full force including 4AD, Because, Brownswood, Cooking Vinyl, Erased Tapes, Fabric, Full Time Hobby, Ghostly International, Heavenly, Lucky Number Music, Mute, One Little Indian, Play It Again Sam, Rough Trade, Secretly Canadian, Transgressive and Warp.

2017 has been a stand-out year for Independent Label Market with the launch of a Night Market, South of The River at Greenwich Market, a rooftop party at Uniqlo, Oxford Street hosted by NTS Radio and great success at the Easter and Summer markets in London which saw over 70,000 music and beer fans in attendance across the two events. ILM crossed the channel to host events in Bari and Paris where attendance increased to over 15,000 at La Halle des Blancs Manteaux. Furthermore ILM were honoured to receive the highly coveted 'Indie Champion of Year' award at the 2017 AIM Awards.

ILM’s main partner for the London Christmas event is the London Brewers’ Market which will be representing some of London’s finest independent breweries. Market-goers can meet the brewers behind their favourite beers and enjoy a refreshing pilsner or pale ale in the beer garden amongst the ILM and Brewer's stalls, where DJ sets take place throughout the day.

ILM will be partnering with Love Music Hate Racism for the first time, brought together via ongoing projects and collaborations with AIM. LMHR work with the likes of Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and global acts to mark UN anti-racism day. LMHR is a movement that celebrates multicultural community, using the energy of music to promote unity and combat bigotry.

ILM's Winter event takes place in the newly refurbished Old Spitalfields Market which is celebrating a new chapter in its long history of development. Redesigned by Foster and Partners to include new stalls and a rethinking of the traditional market stall, the newly opened The Kitchens is home to some of London’s best emerging chefs and restaurants including Flank, Dumpling Shack and Berber and Q.

Since launching in London in May 2011, Independent Label Market has brought together the founders of some the world's greatest independent record labels in London, across the UK and in Paris, Berlin, Brooklyn, Bari, Barcelona, Rome, LA, Hamburg and Toronto to sell their fresh vinyl produce directly to the public at that traditional goods exchange – a market stall.
